About Moray Coast Vet Group

The practice was founded in 1973 as a partnership which soon became Duncan, Masson and Robertson.

In 1999 the original 3 partners were joined by John Donald and the practice became Moray Coast vet group.

By September 2024 the practice had been trading as a limited company for 15 years with 4 directors, John Donald, Andy Stevens, Jamie McLaren and Mark Pearson.

At that stage it was decided that the best way for us to ensure the future of the practice as an independent business was to form an Employee Owned Trust. Our hope is with this new structure the business will continue to thrive for another 50-years, working for the benefit of our patients, clients and our staff.

Friendly, Expert Care

Moray Coast Veterinary Group is an independent multi-disciplinary practice, providing expert, comprehensive care and treatment services to clients throughout the Moray Coast area. We operate from four sites. The main practice is situated on the Greshop Industrial Estate at Forres, with branches at Nairn, Lossiemouth and Balloch.

We can deliver friendly, expert care to domestic pets and commercial livestock throughout the Moray Coast area; from Elgin in the East, beyond Inverness and down the Great Glen in the West, up to the Moray Coastline and the Black Isle in the North, and as far as Grantown on Spey in the South.

Dedicated Staff

The practice has steadily grown in size since it was established over 35 years ago. Now proudly owned by its employees,  it provides extensive veterinary services to all common domestic species and commercial livestock.

We also offer a range expertise in all aspects of equine care, and have acquired an excellent reputation in this field. In addition to our in-house skills and knowledge, we can access additional resources at both Scottish Vet schools, and specialist referral practices locally or further afield.

Focused care

The practice employs 19 full and part time vets, each with different areas of expertise and specialisation. It has also gained recognition from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and attained Tier 2 status under the RCVS practice standards scheme.

A large and skilled team of qualified veterinary nurses support the vets, alongside trained managerial staff and receptionists, all playing their part in providing a well-run, friendly and professional service.

The Moray Coast Veterinary Group constantly strives to deliver the most up to date veterinary services as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible, whilst maintaining open, honest and approachable client relationships.
